Puppy prices are listed on each puppy page. The prices listed for purebred
registerable puppys are for limited registration. An additional charge is required for full registration.
My puppies stay with me until they are at least 8 weeks old. A non-refundable
deposit of $200 is required to hold your puppy. If you will be picking up your puppy, the remaining balance
is due when you pick up. I do not accept personal checks for final payment. If your puppy is being shipped,
the remaining balance is due 5 days prior to the ship date.
I prefer payment
through PayPal. If you choose another method, we can discuss this prior to shipping. Please understand that when
paying through PayPal, you must add 3% to the total you are sending. Example: If you are sending a $200 deposit,
you will need to send $206, if you are sending complete payment for a puppy that is $500, you will need to send $515.
Please discuss any PayPal payments with me prior to sending.
I ship with
Delta~Northwest and American Airlines. I will try to ship out of Green Bay, Wisconsin because that is the airport closest
to me, however, depending on your location, it may benefit the puppy to be shipped out of a larger airport such as Milwaukee
or Chicago. If that is the case, there will be an extra charge for delivery to an airport further than Green Bay.
This can be discussed at the time we make arrangements. My priority when shipping is to make sure the puppy has the
shortest travel day possible. Sometimes shipping out of Green Bay makes for longer layovers and I can get better connections
out of Milwaukee or Chicago. American Airlines has the best flight prices, however, if your puppy is being shipped into
a smaller, "remote" airport, I will most likely use Delta/Northwest because American does not service
many of the smaller airports. I have found that shipping into a smaller airport can sometimes get very expensive,
so if it is possible and you are willing to travel to a larger airport, I can usually use American and get a very reasonable
price.
There are 3 components that make up the total shipping
charge.
1) There is the actual flight charge, which is generally
between $200 to $400, this depends mostly on the combined weight of the puppy and the travel kennel, however, like I said
earlier, if your puppy is being shipped into a smaller airport using Delta/Northwest, most likely the flight price will be
close to $400.
2) There is the cost of the travel kennel, which
is usually no more than $50~that is the current price of an airline approved shipping kennel for an 8 to 10 week old puppy.
If your puppy is older than 10 weeks, I will need to purchase a larger kennel which will cost in the range
of $75 to $90. I do my best to keep the kennel prices low~if I see the kennels on sale, I will usually buy a couple
to have on hand, ALSO.....I keep my eyes WIDE open for airline approved kennels at local rummage sales and on the local "craigslist"
advertisments. Sometimes I get lucky and find a lot of them at very good prices. Before I buy a used kennel, I
inspect it very carefully and will only purchase if all components are included and working properly. I have been lucky
enough to find shipping kennels that would originally sell for $50 for great prices of $25 to $30....sometime less if
I'm really lucky. I pass these savings onto you, the buyer, if I have any in my stock. If you are having
a puppy shipped to you and prefer NOT to have me use a "second hand" kennel, please specify that to me
and I will purchase a new kennel for your shipment. If it is not specified by you and I have used kennels available,
I will use those. Please keep in mind that I would NEVER put one of my puppies in a kennel that I did not think
was safe and appropriate.......but the final decision will be yours.
3)
Then there is the required health certificate that must be issued by a licensed veterinarian no more than 10 days prior
to the ship date, the cost for that is $55.
